Implantable Collamer Lens
ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) eye surgery is a type of refractive surgery in which a specific lens known as a phakic intraocular lens (IOL) is implanted into the eye to correct refractive defects. It is typically used to cure moderate to severe nearsightedness (myopia), but it can also treat minor farsightedness and astigmatism.
ICL surgery has various advantages. It enables the treatment of severe nearsightedness that would otherwise be ineligible for other laser-based refractive surgeries. Furthermore, because it preserves the natural shape and function of the cornea, it is an alternative for people with thin corneas or who are not excellent candidates for corneal refractive surgery.
The ICL is intended to remain permanently inside the eye, however it can be removed or replaced if necessary. It gives consistent vision correction and generally good visual outcomes. The treatment is usually rapid, with a brief recuperation period.

What is a Refractive error?
The outermost layer of the cornea bends light as it enters the eye during vision, and the lens that reflects it then focusses it on the back of the eye. If lighting isn’t properly focused, images can seem to be fuzzy.
Whenever the form of the eye prevents light from concentrating properly on the back of the eye, a condition known as refractive error develops. Besides other symptoms, hazy vision is one effect.
There are four main categories of refraction errors:
Nearsightedness (myopia)
Farsightedness (hyperopia)
Astigmatism
Presbyopia
Although refractive defects cannot be avoided, they can be identified during a visual examination and corrected using lenses that correct vision, such as glasses or contacts, or through surgery to correct them. They do not prevent the complete growth of good eyesight if treated promptly and by eye-care specialists.
Clarity Vision provide the most cutting-edge refractive technology is available to patients of clear vision, and they may be sure that they will receive the surgery that seems most appropriate for them.
